P17 million shabu seized in Las Piñas

LAS PIÑAS, Philippines — At least P17 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were seized from two men in Las Piñas City on Wednesday night.

Jerrymias Suson and Miguel Castillo were arrested in a sting in Verdant Acres Subdivision, Barangay Pamplona Tres meant to catch a dealer identified only as “Tanda,” police said.

Anti-narcotics operatives confiscated 2.5 kilos of shabu valued at P17 million and P1.5 million in marked money from the suspects.

Also in Las Piñas, Anne Antonette Eugenio, 27, and a 16-year-old girl were caught in another sting in Barangay Manuyo Uno on Tuesday night. Police seized 125 grams of shabu valued at P850,000 from the two suspects.

In Muntinlupa City, John Carlo Segotier, 19, was arrested when he was found to be carrying 25 grams of shabu with a street value of P170,000.

Police had flagged down Segotier for riding a motorcycle without a helmet.
