ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A member of the Moro National Liberation Front and his brother were killed in a gunfight with a rival clan in Basilan on Monday.
Istalin Mukahil and his brother Basit Kangal are both residents of Barangay Babag in Tabuan Lasa town.
The neighbors of the warring clans escaped to safer ground to avoid being caught in the crossfire.
