MANILA, Philippines — Police enforced yesterday a no-fly zone policy during the Black Nazarene thanksgiving procession in Quiapo, Manila.

Maj. Britz Estadilla, spokesman for the National Capital Region Police Office, said the no-fly zone was implemented to secure the devotees of the Black Nazarene.

All aircraft and drones were barred from flying near the Quiapo area, Estadilla said.

Among the roads that were closed for the procession were the southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard, Claro M. Recto Avenue and España Boulevard.

The thanksgiving procession was held ahead of the feast of the Black Nazarene on Jan. 9 next year.
