Illegal firecrackers seized in Malabon

MANILA, Philippines — Over P24,000 worth of illegal firecrackers were confiscated by police in Malabon City over the weekend.

Members of the Northern Police District seized kwitis, bawang, pla-pla, kingkong, tuna and Goodbye Philippines from stores along Arellano street in Barangay San Agustin.

The store owners failed to present permit, police said.

The manufacture, sale and use of illegal firecrackers and other pyrotechnics are prohibited under Republic Act 7183.
