MANILA, Philippines — A suspect was wounded and 42 others were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Metro Manila since Wednesday.
Danilo Marmeto reportedly shot at police officers during a sting in Soldiers’ Hills, Barangay Putatan in Muntinlupa City Wednesday night, triggering a shootout.
He was brought to the Ospital ng Maynila for treatment.
Police seized around 11 grams of shabu with a street value of P74,800 from the suspect as well as a .38 caliber revolver, a bullet casing, four bullets and P500 marked money from the scene.
In Quezon City, police seized over P700,000 worth of shabu and arrested at least 30 persons in separate operations on Wednesday.
In Pasay, Jocelyn Gabato, Ronald Ramirez, Alysa Mae Perales, Rollea Mhae Rosal, Roizyl Kim Alimorong and Mayumi Gaa were arrested in a sting at Gaa’s house yesterday. All six are on the city’s drug watchlist, police said.
Around 9.4 grams of shabu with a street value of P63,920, 2.7 grams of suspected marijuana worth about P324, marked money and drug paraphernalia were recovered during the operation.
In Caloocan, Jayson Samson, 20, was arrested in a sting for 500 grams of marijuana with a street value of P60,000 on Wednesday night.
Students Lance Gabriel Visco, 20, and Jessie Jay Pullente and France Junnifer Monta, both 19, were arrested in a drug sting in Barangay Central Signal.
Anti-narcotics operatives seized more than 100 grams of marijuana with a street value of P12,000, a Hyundai Getz (RKM-184) and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
Also in Taguig, operatives seized 17.7 grams of shabu with a street value of P120,360 from a 17-year-old boy in a separate sting.
In Pateros, police arrested Angela Villadolid, 30, and confiscated five grams of shabu worth P34,000 from her.
