Bulacan’s first female top cop assumes post

MALOLOS, Philippines — The Bulacan police has a new director.

Col. Emma Libunao took over the post held by Col. Chito Bersaluna at the turnover ceremony held at Camp General Alejo Santos in this city yesterday.

Prior to her appointment, Libunao was assigned to the directorate for police community relations at the Philippine National Police headquarters. She also served as police chief of Balagtas town.

Libunao vowed to continue the campaign against  illegal drugs, terrorism and other forms of criminality to maintain peace and order in Bulacan.
