Classes suspended in Batangas school due to bomb threat

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Classes at the Gregorio Agoncillo National High School in Barangay Dacalao, Calaca, Batangas were suspended on Monday due to a bomb threat.

Maj. Hazel Lumang-Ang, Batangas police spokesperson, said teacher Mellany Escalona received a text message telling her that there was a bomb at the school.

Lumang-Ang said a security sweep yielded negative results.

An investigation is ongoing to identify who sent the text message.
