Footbridge collapses in Mountain Province; 10 hurt

BAGUIO CITY , Philippines –  Ten persons were injured when an improvised footbridge in Sitio Conggas, Barangay Betwagan in Sadanga, Mountain Province collapsed on Wednesday. 

Local disaster council officials said six of those injured were taken to the Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital in Bauko town. Another victim was brought to the Betwagan Health Station for treatment. 

The victims reportedly came from a wake in Sitio Posong, Barangay Anabel when the accident occurred.

Local government officials said the footbridge was built in 1990
