MANILA, Philippines — An estimated P200,000 worth of shabu and over 40 suspects were apprehended during simultaneous anti-crime operations in Quezon City on Tuesday.
The first operation led to the arrest of four suspects and the seizure of P102,000 worth of shabu in Barangay San Agustin.
They were Rengie David; Felipe Gumarang, 36; Honelyn Anasco, 18, and Jomar Randa, 25.
In Barangay Culiat, Diyo Bongarus, 38; Francisco Veneracion, 35; Russel Tabucuran, 38; Elmer Sinonas, and Angelo Pelueta, 36, were nabbed in a drug sting along Luzon Avenue.
The suspects allegedly yielded P68,000 worth of shabu and a motorcycle allegedly used in drug transactions.
Members of the Batasan police arrested six suspects for alleged possession of seven sachets of shabu worth around P51,000.
The suspects were Joven Carida, 34; Jeremine Malinao, 33; Geroll Malinao, 35; Jerome Papa, 27; Gilbert Sevillano, 25, and Annalyn Laurio, 25.
Police said they recovered at least P40,000 worth of shabu in separate stings in Barangays Bungad and Alicia.
Five suspects were collared in the anti-narcotics operations.
The other drug suspects were arrested in Barangays Manresa, Bagong Pag-asa, Nayon Kaunlaran, Baesa, Nova Proper, Gulod, Greater Lagro, San Martin Depores and Quirino 2-A.
In Pasay City, police confiscated more than P200,000 worth of drugs from six suspects.
Authorities said two of the suspects, Homer Lucas and Regiedom Cardona, were on the drug watchlist.
