3 Chinese arrested for kidnapping Malaysian

MANILA, Philippines — Three Chinese were apprehended for allegedly kidnapping a Malaysian man in Parañaque City on Tuesday night.

Chua Sai Yee was rescued in the operation.

Police said Yee’s alleged kidnappers Chang Yuan, Liu Shihui and Jiang Yong were nabbed at a condominium in Baclaran.

Probers said they launched the rescue operation after receiving information that the suspects were illegally detaining Yee.

Authorities said they recovered from the suspects P4,190 in cash, cell phones and assorted identification cards.

The suspects are being held by police on kidnapping charges.
