MANILA,Philippines — Eight Chinese men and their Filipino driver were arrested for allegedly trying to kidnap another Chinese at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) on Friday.
Police officers spotted the suspects trying to force the victim into a Toyota Rush at the NAIA-3’s outer lane at around 6:20 a.m.
The victim told police he went to the airport to collect money from one of the suspects. He said he held onto a steel post but the suspects allegedly burned his hands with a lit cigarette.
Charges of kidnapping, alarm and scandal and resistance and disobedience to persons in authority were filed against Zhao Xin, 27; Pang Chanlin, 23; Cheng Yuqi; Zhang Shi Ke, 19; Liu Huan, 27; Nie Shao Ling, 23; Huan Yuhang, 23; Gan Siguo, 22, and Jesus Solinap, 44.
