2 killed in Rizal shooting

MANILA, Philippines — Two persons were killed while three others were wounded when unidentified assailants opened fire at a group of minors in Baras, Rizal on Saturday.

Jeszabel, 11, and Leimuel, 20, both surnamed Tolibas, were declared dead on arrival at the Antipolo City Annex Hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds.

The victims’ relatives – Erica Tolibas, 16, and John Joven Tolibas, 9 – as well as Ricky Capistrano were brought to the same hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.

Reports said the victims were walking in 7E Southeville 9 in Barangay Pinugay when the assailants arrived and shot them.

Police have yet to establish the motive for the attack and identify suspects.
