San Juan shuts down massage parlor
San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora yesterday led the closure of a massage parlor allegedly being used as a prostitution den.
Zamora and city police chief Col. Jaime Santos led the raid on the Michiko Spa at corner of Santolan Road and Ortigas Avenue in Barangay Greenhills at around 1:20 p.m.
Four women, believed to be massage therapists moonlighting as sex workers, were rescued and brought to the police station for debriefing. Police have yet to determine if there are minors among them.
Zamora said charges of human trafficking will be filed against the massage parlor’s owner, identified as Felipe Tamang Jr., who was not present during the raid.
Santos said customers need to pay P2,400 if they want to have sex with the massage therapists.
