MANILA, Philippines — A rapper, his sister-manager and three others were arrested in a drug bust in Makati City on Wednesday night.

Loonie, real name Marlon Peroramas, 33; his younger sister and manager, Isyll Liza Peroramas; David Rizon; Ivan Agustin and Albert Alvarez were apprehended in the basement parking area of Herald Suites Polaris in Barangay Poblacion.

Police seized from the suspects 15 sachets said to contain “kush” or high-grade marijuana with a street value of P105,000, marked money and personal items.

Makati City police chief Col. Rogelio Simon told reporters that they have been monitoring Peroramas’ actions for a month.

The “Tao Lang” hitmaker denied the allegations. In an interview with reporters, he said he was there to meet a cancer-stricken fan.
