MANILA, Philippines — The chiefs of police of Las Piñas City and Pateros switched posts yesterday.
Col. Segundo Lagundi Jr. will now head the Las Piñas police based on a transfer order signed by National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar.
Col. Simnar Gran would take over Lagundi’s post as head of the Pateros police.
Eleazar said the move was part of the regular reshuffle of commanders to improve the campaign of the police forces against crimes and illegal drugs.
Last year, Gran replaced then Las Piñas police chief Marion Balonglong, who was sacked after some members of the drug enforcement unit allegedly kidnapped and extorted money from a drug suspect.
