MANILA, Philippines — Another foreign Navy ship, this time from Spain, will arrive in Manila for a three-day goodwill visit.
Spanish Navy frigate Mendez Nuñez (F-104) is scheduled to dock at South Harbor’s Pier 15 today.
Lt. Commander Maria Christina Roxas, acting chief of the Naval Public Affairs Office, said the Spanish vessel would be in the country until Sept. 7.
Roxas said the visit would strengthen the ties between the Philippine and Spanish navies.
Two Navy ships from South Korea arrived in Manila on Sept. 2 for a port call.
