Musician loses P.4-million instruments to thieves

MANILA, Philippines — A musician lost P410,000 worth of musical instruments and other personal belongings to robbers who ransacked his apartment in  Marikina City on Saturday.

Luis Reyes, 34, discovered the robbery when he arrived at his rented apartment in Hacienda Heights Subdivision in Barangay Concepcion at around noon on Saturday, according to a report from the Eastern Police District.

Reyes told police he found the knob on the door of his apartment, which he used as a stockroom, forcibly opened.

Among the missing instruments were guitars and drum sets worth P360,500. The robbers also took a microwave oven, a component system and branded clothes and shoes. – Non Alquitran
