DAVAO CITY, Philippines — While he has not been visible to the public in the past week, President Duterte was home for the weekend for the 34th Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival.
The President arrived on Wednesday night and has been busy with private meetings with various groups aside from paperworks.
Duterte declared Aug. 16 a holiday in this city to allow residents to participate in activities marking the festival, a celebration of bountiful harvest.
The festival also gives importance to 11 tribal communities in this city by showcasing their culture and tradition.
Several contingents from various parts of the country joined in a street dancing competition yesterday as part of the culminating activities.
The other activities include the Indak-Indak sa Dalan to be held today and participated by various indigenous communities.
