MANILA, Philippines — An actor was arrested in Makati City before dawn yesterday for allegedly being involved in a brawl.
Karlos Lorenzo “Kenzo” Gutierrez, 22, was apprehended at the Karrivin Plaza in Magallanes at around 1:20 a.m. on charges of alarm and scandal and resistance to a person in authority.
Security guard Sweenie Britos called police about a brawl. Police officers arrived at the scene and questioned Gutierrez.
“Di ba ninyo ako kilala? F*ck! P**na niyo! Ano? Suntukan na lang tayo,” Gutierrez told police officers, challenging them to a fistfight.
S/Sgt. Allan Agbayani tried to calm down Gutierrez, who reportedly fought back. This prompted police officers to use “reasonable force to subjugate” him, the report said.
When Gutierrez was brought to the Makati police’s criminal investigation division, the actor reportedly threatened to have the policemen fired.
Maj. Gideon Ines, chief of the Makati police’s Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch, told The STAR that Gutierrez was “very drunk” when he was arrested.
