MANILA, Philippines — Two South Koreans facing criminal charges in Masbate City have been arrested by members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on board a vessel bound for Manila.
Kang Min Go, 28, and Choi Min, 23, were collared in a ship of the Sta. Clara Shipping Co. that was headed for Pioduran Port in Albay.
The Koreans are facing theft charges in Masbate City. They were reportedly carrying an undetermined amount of cash.
The money was reportedly intended for the financial expenses of six other Koreans, who were detained for human trafficking.
Reports said the Koreans were suspected of stealing an undetermined amount of money from their compatriot in Masbate.
The PCG said they recovered a pistol from the suspects.
