5 suspects slain in shootouts with cops

MANILA, Philippines — Three alleged guns-for-hire and two drug suspects have been killed in alleged shootouts with law enforcers in Abra and Isabela, respectively. 

Identified only as Ariel Isao, Michael Gonzales and a certain Glen, the suspects were in a tricycle and allegedly refused to pull over at a checkpoint in Barangay Anggad, Bangued at around 1:45 a.m. yesterday.

The suspects allegedly fired at police officers who chased them.

In Isabela, Eduardo Barroga and Butch Felipe were killed in a drug sting in Barangay Bacareno, Cauayan City on Wednesday.
