Man faces raps for raping nieces

BUGALLON, Pangasinan , Philippines  —   Police filed multiple counts of rape against a man who allegedly raped his two nieces in this town.

Maj. Jake Isidro, town police chief, said the victims are aged 16 and 13. 

The mother of the victims found out about the crime when she saw a pregnancy kit test hidden in a flowerpot. When she confronted her daughters, the girls said their uncle threatened to kill them if they would report him to anyone.

The 16-year-old victim, who said she was repeatedly raped by his uncle since 2015, is nine weeks pregnant, according to a doctor who examined her.
