MANILA, Philippines — Outgoing Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada denied yesterday talk that he reset the meeting with Mayor-elect Isko Moreno because he was indisposed.
“I’m not indisposed. I’m keeping silent, but then they are creating yet another intrigue. The courtesy call being requested by him (Moreno) was rescheduled and will push through on Monday. Maybe, around 3 p.m.,” he told The STAR.
Estrada said he rescheduled the meeting last Friday because he was attending to an important matter.
He earlier assured the public that there will be a proper turnover of the city government to Moreno, adding that the mayor-elect will inherit P14 billion in funds in the city government’s coffers.
