TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — The remains of an overseas Filipino worker, who allegedly died in the hands of her employer in Kuwait, arrived in her hometown in Angadanan, Isabela on Friday night.
The wake of Constancia Dayag, 47, will be held at the family’s residence in Barangay Dalenat.
Lovely Jane, Dayag’s eldest child, said the face of her mother was unrecognizable and her body is starting to decompose.
She said she does not believe the report of Kuwaiti authorities that her mother died of natural causes.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) learned of Dayag’s death on May 14, a day before she was supposed to return to the country.
The DOLE said there were indications that Dayag was sexually abused. A cucumber was found in Dayag’s private parts.
