2 hacked to death in Ilocos Sur

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Two persons were found dead in a hut in a farm they were tending in Barangay Besalan, Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur on Friday.

Police said the bodies of Loreto Carbonel, 46, and Jerome Domingo, 29, which bore hack wounds, were discovered at around 6:30 a.m.

Johnwin, 13, also surnamed Carbonel, was wounded and remains confined at the Ilocos Training Center and Medical Center in San Fernando, La Union.

Probers ruled out robbery as the motive, noting that no items in the hut or personal belongings of the victims were reported missing.
