MANILA, Philippines — Five commuters were injured in a three-vehicle collision in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati on Monday night.
The accident involved a passenger jeepney and two cars, according to traffic investigator M/Sgt. Jupiter Palmares.
Lorna Academia, John Michael Rondina, Luisito Vicera, Jasmine Uy and Elona Vicera were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Police said the jeepney driven by Leopoldo Castillo was traversing P. Victor street when he lost control of the brakes and crashed into the cars.
Castillo is being held by police on charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple injuries and damage to property.
