Bong Go vows to keep campaign clean, fair
MANILA, Philippines — Former presidential assistant and senatorial candidate Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Saturday held a motorcade in Quezon City.
Go helped several fire victims in the city before he declared his bid for the Senate.
He vowed to keep his campaign clean and fair amid fake news, especially on social media, which seek to malign candidates and undermine their chances of winning in the elections.
“I will not resort to dirty politics,” Go said.
Quezon City residents came out on the streets, cheered and waved back at him during the motorcade.
“Sobrang init nang pagtanggap ng tao kahit saang eskinita kami pumasok dito sa Quezon City. Nakakawala ng pagod,” Go said.
Two weeks to go before the midterm elections, he promised to go around the country to hear the people’s concerns directly.
