Chinese stabbed, robbed

MANILA, Philippines — Five unidentified men stabbed and robbed a Chinese tourist in Iloilo City on Saturday.

Xianlin Hao was walking toward his hotel in Barangay Hipodromo when the suspects attacked him at around 2:30 a.m., according to Lt. Col. Joem Malong, spokesperson for the Western Visayas police.

One of the suspects reportedly pulled out a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim when he refused to give his belongings.

The robbers took Hao’s phone worth P8,000 and P500 cash.

Bystanders rushed the victim to the Iloilo Doctor’s Hospital for treatment of stab wounds in the head, face and other parts of the body.
