MANILA, Philippines — A vintage bomb was recovered by authorities after it was dug up during a dredging operation in Manila Bay yesterday.
The vintage bomb was dug up along Baywalk near the United States embassy in Ermita, Manila yesterday morning, according to the Manila Police District Explosive Ordnance Disposal.
The vintage bomb was reported to the bomb disposal unit by the Department of Public Works and Highways, which was conducting the dredging operations.
The bomb, an 81mm illuminating round, was turned over to the police for disposal.
