MANILA, Philippines — A total of 11,821 graduating senior high school students have qualified for admission to the University of the Philippines this year.
The number of UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) passers represents 13.07 percent of the 90,426 who took the examination in October last year.
The results were posted at the university’s admissions office in its flagship campus in Diliman, Quezon City yesterday.
No masterlist was released online, with the university saying the new procedure provides privacy in viewing the results.
Instead, examinees were required to log in using the e-mail and password they used in their online applications.
“If you applied manually, use the contact email address you put in your UPCAT application to create new account,” UP said in its advisory on the official UPCAT website.
Those who received offers for admission are required to reply before they can proceed with registration. No fee shall be collected in acceptance of the offer.
“Replies to the offer after the deadline will no longer be considered,” said UP.
