Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A man identified as a Grab driver was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun replica at a security guard of a restaurant in Makati City on Sunday.

Hyron Herny Roscom, 31, is facing charges of grave threat as well as violating Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition and the Omnibus Election Code.

Police said security guard Genovevo Azarcon of Tides Grill and Bistro in Barangay Olympia was assisting customers at the parking area when Roscom arrived in a Hyundai Accent at around 2:20 a.m.

For unknown reasons, the suspect got out of his car, pulled out what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it at the guard, who ran toward a group of police officers who were patrolling J.P. Rizal Avenue.

The lawmen arrested Roscom and seized a replica of a .38 caliber revolver from him. He was brought to the police headquarters for further investigation.
