Janella leads San Juan mayoral race – survey

MANILA, Philippines — With the midterm elections less than two months away, incumbent Vice Mayor Janella Estrada is leading the mayoral race in San Juan, according to the results of a survey by Pulse Asia.

Estrada’s camp said they are subscribed to Pulse Asia’s non-commissioned survey of local candidates, conducted last February.

The survey showed Estrada was preferred by 45 percent of 1,200 respondents in the city’s two districts compared to 41 percent for her closest rival, former vice mayor Francis Zamora.

In District 1, Estrada was preferred by 45 percent of respondents compared to 42 percent for Zamora while in District 2, respondents voted 45 to 40 in favor of Estrada.
