Engineer loses P100,000 to burglars

MANILA, Philippines — A civil engineer lost some P100,000 in cash and valuables to burglars who broke into his house in Muntinlupa City on Saturday.

Edward Bello, 37, of Bridgette street, Sto. Niño Village in Barangay Tunasan, reported to police that he discovered the break-in when he woke up at around 4:30 a.m.

The robbers took a laptop, a flash drive and external hard disk worth P50,000, three mobile phones worth P51,000, a silver bracelet, ATM cards, passport and P1,000 in cash.

Police said there was no sign of forcible entry.

In Makati, a Korean was robbed of appliances when robbers broke into his condominium unit at the corner of H.V. dela Costa and Leviste streets, Salcedo Village.

Seokwhan Hahn, 62, was not around when the incident happened.
