Guns, bullets seized in Muntinlupa

MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated firearms and ammuniton in Muntinlupa City on Saturday.

Authorities said they recovered a .38-caliber handgun, a .45-caliber pistol, bullets for M-16 rifle and other ammunition from the house of Anthony Santos, 26, in Barangay Cupang.

Members of the police community precinct 4 served a search warrant on Santos issued by the Muntinlupa regional trial court for violating the election gun ban. But he was nowhere to be found.

City police chief Senior Superintendent Gerardo Umayao said Santos was allegedly involved in gunrunning and illegal drugs.
