MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) closed last night seven major roads in the metropolis to give way to the three-day repair of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

All southbound lanes at the intersections between C5 Road and Julia Vargas Avenue; the first lane on EDSA Lagarian Creek-Ermin Garcia in Quezon City and on the second lane at the intersection between Katipunan Avenue to C.P. Garcia.

The northbound lane on C-5 Road in front of SM Aura and Market, Market; EDSA’s lane after Magallanes Avenue; R. Magsaysay Boulevard going to Cubao-Pureza street were also not passable to traffic.

Congressional Avenue, between Jupiter and Pangilinan streets, in Quezon City was also closed to traffic for a repair project of a telecommunications company.

The MMDA urged motorists to look for alternate routes, as the roads will be closed to traffic until 5 a.m. on Monday.
