MANILA, Philippines — Without an online appointment, overseas job applicants will no longer be entertained at the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
In an advisory issued yesterday, POEA chief Bernard Olalia said the agency has started the strict and full implementation of the overseas Filipino workers (OFW) Record Online Appointment System (OROAS).
“Walk-in applicants will not be entertained,” Olalia said as he advised those seeking employment abroad to schedule an appointment from Monday to Friday, except holidays.
Olalia said the accommodation of walk-in applicants who come to POEA has prejudiced those who want to get an appointment in the morning using OROAS.
A majority of those who walk in without an appointment are applicants for household service workers, Olalia said.
Olalia advised recruitment agencies and OFWs to avail of the online appointment system.
