Delon Porcalla - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Seventy-five Toyota Hi-Lux pickups, which will be used as patrol vehicles, were distributed to barangay officials in Dasmariñas, Cavite over the weekend to boost their community peace and security efforts.

Aside from giving out patrol vehicles, the city government inaugurated two mobile police outposts that will help maintain peace and order in key areas.

Mayor Elpidio Barzaga said there has to be peace and order in every place for businesses to flourish and for parents not to worry about the safety of their children.

Former Cavite governor Jonvic Remulla, who attended the turnover, lauded the eforts of the city government, which allotted P83.3 million for the purchase of mobile patrol units and spent P6.9 million for the mobile outposts.
