Teens find skeleton in Caloocan

Marc Jayson Cayabyab - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Two teenagers found skeletal remains of a person in a sack dumped at a vacant lot in Bagumbong, Caloocan on Saturday.

Two 18-year-old males serving as caretakers were cleaning the vacant lot at Neighborhood Association in Barangay 171 when they found a human skull inside a sack.

Caloocan chief investigator Police Inspector Joe Mar Ronquillo yesterday said they are awaiting the DNA test on the skeleton to determine if the remains belong to a male or female.

The skeleton’s condition indicated it had been years since the person’s death, according to Northern Police District medico-legal expert Dr. Charyl Escaro.
