NATIVIDAD, Philippines — A barangay councilman was arrested following a search on his home that reportedly resulted in the recovery of a handgun here on Friday.
Geronimo Olipas, 62, of Barangay San Eugenio, reportedly yielded a .22 caliber revolver and a bullet for a .45 caliber pistol.
Probers said a joint team of the municipal police and the provincial mobile force company conducted the raid based on a warrant issued by a local court.
