Intramuros golf course under rehab
MANILA, Philippines — The rehabilitation of the Club Intramuros Golf Course (CIGC) is underway, the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) said yesterday.
“The 18-hole golf course located in the historic Old Manila has been undergoing revitalization efforts since last year,” the TIEZA said.
“Minor repairs and major rehabilitation works on the rest of the property are also under way as TIEZA seeks to return CIGC, which was established in 1907, to its former glory,” it added.
The golf course’s restoration is part of TIEZA’s project D.R.E.A.M.S. (Destination, Restoration, Eco Sustainability, Agrotourism, Medical Assistance and Security & Accessibility), which aims to provide and improve tourism infrastructure in the country.
