BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Classes in elementary and high school in this city will be suspended on Feb. 1 for the opening of the Panagbenga or Flower Festival and on March 2 for the Grand Street Dancing Parade.
Mayor Mauricio Domogan issued Administrative Order 78-2019 declaring the suspension of classes to allow the “unbridled participation” of students and the public in the activities.
The Panagbenga is on its 24th year now. The theme of this year’s festival, which runs from Feb. 1 to March 10, is “Blooming Forward.”
“The opening parade will jumpstart bigger and better activities... the grand street parade will feature finalists in the elementary, secondary and open categories,” organizers said.
