2 drug suspects slain in shootout

MANILA, Philippines — Two suspected drug traffickers were killed in an alleged shootout with police officers in Hamtic, Antique on Saturday.

Julius Bullecer, 45, and Joel Urbano, 45, reportedly drew their guns and shot at the officers following a sting in Barangay Guintas, according to Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, Western Visayas police director.

Probers said they recovered 14 plastic sachets said to contain shabu, motorcycles and P2,200 cash from the suspects.
