2 slain in stabbing

ILIGAN CITY, Philippines — Two persons were killed in separate stabbing incidents last Friday.

An elementary school teacher was stabbed dead by her ex-boyfriend at a remote barangay in Iligan City.

Cheryl Hinoguin was holding a class when the suspect, security guard Albert Dara, barged into the room and punched her in the face before stabbing her several times.

Hinoguin was rushed to a hospital but was dead on arrival.

The suspect is in the custody of the police.

In Bugallon, Pangasinan Pedro Caguioa, 50, died from  multiple stab wounds in Barangay Salomague Sur.

Initial police investigation showed that Caguioa was last seen at a rice field near the area where his body was found. – Eva Visperas
