MANILA, Philippines — Two trains of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) suffered breakdowns yesterday.
A train bound for Taft station stopped at the GMA-Kamuning station at around 6:27 a.m., the MRT management said.
The train unloaded 75 passengers, who waited for another train that arrived two minutes later.
At past 2:30 p.m., another MRT train bound for North Avenue station stalled at the Ortigas station, affecting 350 passengers.
MRT officials said worn-out electrical sub-components caused the glitches.
