MANILA, Philippines — A man caught on a viral video stealing an elderly man’s motorcycle was arrested in Quezon City on Friday night.

Banjo dela Paz was apprehended along Lones street in Barangay Sangandaan at around 10 p.m. during a follow-up operation.

Police seized a .38 caliber revolver loaded with three bullets from Dela Paz.

Dela Paz was allegedly driving a stolen motorcycle when he figured in a traffic accident Friday morning along Osmeña street in Barangay San Antonio.

Police said the motorcycle was stolen along Ilocos Norte street in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay at around 3:30 a.m.

Dela Paz abandoned the first motorcycle after colliding with a Toyota Vios at around 8:30 a.m.

He reportedly headed toward Roosevelt Avenue, where he hijacked a motorcycle being driven by Lunito Romo, 64.

The incident was caught on video and has since gone viral on social media.

He faces charges of violating Republic Act 10591 or the comprehensive law on firearms and ammunition, physical injuries and reckless imprudence.
