Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested two persons for selling overpriced tickets yesterday during Game 2 between the University of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University in Cubao, Quezon City.

They were Rommel Gagui, 48, and Randy Babagay, 37.

Gagui was nabbed near Smart Araneta Coliseum while selling University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) tickets at around 4:20 p.m.

Babagay was apprehended while negotiating with policemen who posed as buyers in front of a coffee shop in Cubao, according to Senior Inspector Rohaina Asalan, spokesperson for the Quezon City Police District.

Police had warned scalpers against taking advantage of the UAAP games to sell overpriced tickets.
