Reds surrender in Lanao Sur

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — At least 12 members of the Guerrilla Front 12 and North Central Mindanao Committee of the New People’s Army surrendered to the Joint Task Force Ranao in Kapai and Tagoloan towns on Monday.

The communists also turned over a caliber .30 carbine  and a caliber .45 pistol to Lt. Col. Jayson Jumawan, 82nd Infantry Battalion commander. They are undergoing custodial debriefing.

Jumawan said the surrenderees were responsible for the organization of guerrilla fronts. – Michael Punongbayan
