The gunman who shot Superintendent Edgardo Cariaso on the night of Nov. 8 in Barangay Tatalon is said to be 30 to 40 years old, 5’5” to 5’6” tall, medium built and has a brown complexion.

MANILA, Philippines — Police yesterday released a facial composite of the gunman in the shooting of a police official assigned at the Internal Affairs Service (IAS) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Quezon City earlier this month.

The composite is based on the testimonies of several witnesses.

The gunman who shot Superintendent Edgardo Cariaso on the night of Nov. 8 in Barangay Tatalon is said to be 30 to 40 years old, 5’5” to 5’6” tall, medium built and has a brown complexion.

According to police, the suspect wore a white t-shirt, black short pants, rubber shoes and a cap at the time of the shooting.

Cariaso was talking to a neighbor when the suspect shot him at least four times. The gunman then fled on foot towards G. Araneta Avenue. The police official was brought to a hospital for medical treatment.

PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde earlier said probers are looking at Cariaso’s reported links to the drug trade as a motive.
