STAR columnist wins  Quezon City award
Wilson Lee Flores receives the Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal award from Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria Hotel recently. With them are Councilors Franz Pumaren and Godofredo Liban II.

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government recently conferred the Manuel L. Quezon Gawad Parangal, the city’s highest award, on Philippine Star and Pilipino Star Ngayon columnist Wilson Lee Flores.

Flores received the award from Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte during the city’s 79th anniversary dinner reception at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria Hotel.  

Flores is a Hall of Fame awardee of the Catholic Mass Media Awards. He has also won three Carlos Palanca awards.

The 79-year-old Kamuning Bakery Café owned by Flores will hold a medical, dental and optical mission at the corner of Judge Jimenez and K 1st streets in Barangay Kamuning on Oct. 28 as part of the observance of the Fourth #WorldPandesalDay.
