Burglars hit cop’s home

MANILA, Philippines — A policeman lost nearly P21,000 worth of items when burglars broke into his house before dawn Thursday.

Police Officer 1 Alden Blance Pagaduan, 28, a member of the National Capital Region Police Office’s Regional Mobile Force Battalion, reported that his flat-screen television, a digital television receiver, a backpack, two pairs of rubber shoes and a magazine for a 9mm Taurus pistol were stolen from his house in Barangay Lower Bicutan at around 5 a.m., the Southern Police District said.

Police are conducting a follow-up investigation.
